General Description:
The Senior Director, Microsoft 365 Platforms & Strategy is accountable for the strategy, roadmap, engineering, governance, lifecycle, reliability, and employee experience of BeOne’s global Microsoft 365 environment. Success is measured against agreed performance measures, baselines, objectives, and targets aligned with BeOne’s enterprise technology, security, data, architecture, and financial strategies.
The portfolio includes Microsoft 365 Apps, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and related services. This leader establishes clear product and platform ownership, strengthens internal engineering capability, and ensures the environment is secure, reliable, supportable, and positioned to enable employee productivity.
The position also provides Microsoft 365 leadership for BeOne’s global domain migration, continued platform modernization, and AI-enabled productivity capabilities within a global, matrixed organization.
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Platform Strategy & Product Ownership: Own the global Microsoft 365 strategy, roadmap, priorities, lifecycle, investment recommendations, product-management model, demand intake, and intentional introduction of new capabilities. Establish appropriate performance measures and baselines, secure agreement on targets, and be accountable for delivery against approved targets.
- Architecture, Engineering & Platform Reliability: Lead tenant architecture, engineering standards, configuration, automation, resilience, technical-debt management, service health, operational readiness, and the resolution of major platform escalations.
- Service Delivery & Enterprise Technology Guidance: Partner closely with Service Delivery and Tier 1 support teams to establish effective operating and support models, escalation paths, service performance management, and continuous improvement across the Microsoft 365 stack. Provide authoritative, enterprise-minded guidance on when Microsoft 365 is the appropriate solution and when alternative BeOne enterprise platforms or solutions should be considered.
- Governance, Security & Compliance Execution: Partner with Cyber Security, Privacy, Information Governance, Quality, Legal, Compliance, Identity, and Enterprise Architecture to translate established enterprise requirements into Microsoft 365 controls and operating practices, including information protection, retention, auditing, access, collaboration, and lifecycle controls. Escalate unresolved requirements, risks, or ownership conflicts to the appropriate enterprise function.
- Data, Analytics & Enterprise Integration: Establish Microsoft 365 as a well-governed component of BeOne’s broader enterprise integration and data ecosystem. Partner with Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and other technology teams on integrations using Microsoft Graph APIs and related Microsoft 365 services, providing platform expertise, architectural guidance, governance, and lifecycle oversight to enable secure, scalable, and supportable enterprise solutions.
- Transformation & Modernization: Lead the Microsoft 365 components of major enterprise transformations, including BeOne's global domain migration, tenant and platform modernization, and major collaboration changes, with disciplined readiness, transition, and service continuity.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot Enablement: Own platform readiness, configuration, licensing, utilization reporting, service health, and technical enablement for Microsoft 365 Copilot. Partner with Enterprise AI, business leaders, and change and adoption teams on responsible adoption, use-case priorities, and value measurement.
- Microsoft, Partner & Commercial Management: Lead the Microsoft 365 relationship and key partner governance, partnering with Procurement and enterprise technology leadership on licensing strategy, utilization optimization, investment recommendations, commercial evaluation, partner performance, and total cost of ownership.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead a globally distributed team and strategic partner resources supporting Microsoft 365 platforms and services.
- Establish clear accountability and decision rights across product and platform ownership, engineering, governance, and operations.
- Develop technical and leadership capability through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
- Build strong partnerships across regions and functions while driving enterprise standards and consistent global ways of working.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree with 12+ years of progressive enterprise technology experience across Microsoft technologies, digital workplace, enterprise platforms, or related functions, including leadership of global teams and accountability for an enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 environment.
- Demonstrated success establishing or improving product and platform ownership, governance, engineering, service-management, and support practices for Microsoft 365 in a complex global organization.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture and services, with sufficient technical depth to direct platform strategy, architecture, engineering, operational decisions, and Microsoft Graph API-enabled integrations at enterprise scale.
- Demonstrated enterprise technology judgment, including the ability to evaluate business needs objectively and recommend Microsoft 365 or alternative enterprise platforms based on fit, security, scalability, supportability, integration, and total cost of ownership.
- Experience partnering with Service Delivery, Tier 1 support, Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, and Security teams to establish operating models and deliver secure, governed, lifecycle-managed enterprise integrations.
- Experience leading major platform modernization, domain or tenant migrations, and complex enterprise change while maintaining reliable global service delivery.
- Sound commercial and financial judgment, including experience with Microsoft licensing, utilization optimization, vendor governance, investment planning, and total-cost-of-ownership management.
- Proven ability to lead and influence global teams, senior stakeholders, business functions, and technology organizations, with strong executive communication and decision-making skills.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, or another highly regulated global environment is strongly preferred.

- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.

Salary Range: $216,300.00 - $286,300.00 annually
BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
