Overview

The Technical Coordinator - Electrical will support the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical engineering activities for power generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial power projects. The role acts as a key interface between engineering, project management, procurement, construction, and client teams to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with technical standards. The position requires strong technical expertise, coordination skills, and a focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Your role

- Coordinate electrical engineering activities across power projects from design through commissioning.
- Review and monitor electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load calculations, and technical specifications.
- Liaise with engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Track project schedules and support timely resolution of technical issues affecting project execution.
- Coordinate procurement activities for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgears, cables, protection systems, and related components.
- Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Facilitate technical discussions, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Review technical submittals, method statements, inspection reports, and vendor documentation.
- Support project teams in preparing progress reports, risk assessments, and project updates.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure quality requirements are achieved during project execution.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical system issues during construction and operational phases.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure accurate record keeping throughout the project lifecycle.

About you

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering or project coordination within the power, energy, utility, or EPC sector.
- Strong knowledge of power systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, and electrical distribution networks.
- Experience in power generation, transmission, distribution, renewable energy, or industrial power projects.
- Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in electrical design and engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, EPLAN, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of testing, commissioning, and maintenance practices for electrical systems.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
