Key Accountabilities
-Conduct a significant level of formulation and technical work in the lab as defined in the project/departmental plan
-Ask appropriate questions to clarify requirements, expectations, and critical performance parameters
-Document results, visits, etc. through appropriate reporting systems, reports outcome to manages and peers for collective decisions
-Be familiar with relevant experimental development and/or analytical approaches and techniques
-Plan, manage and implement assigned simple projects via propitiate lab process with appropriate documents. Ensure RDI part of project is carried out smoothly with timely update and ensure quality and feasibility according to business needs
-Communicate actively with and provide technical support to other functions to ensure sharing of information to achieve business objectives
-Ensure SOM/SOP of lab apparatus and equipment is followed. Maintain lab 5s
-Ensure all activities in the area of responsibility are conducted under AkzoNobel HSE, ISO9000, internal quality standards, customer quality/performance requirements, intellectual property, and Product Stewardship requirements with the spirit of continuous improvement
-Maintain and promote a safe work environment, complies with safety policies and procedures. Follow safe work practices for personal and equipment safety, in both the laboratory and in the field. End results are zero or minimum safety incidents and a clean, orderly working environment
-Active participation in SHE meetings to improve SHE awareness
-Follow all SHE policies and uses appropriate PPE
-Remind others of unsafe acts to help avoid accidents and lost time; watches others’ safety
-Report observed safety issues immediately
-Conduct routine behavioral safety checks using appropriate checklists.
## Experience
-Bachelor’s degree or above in chemistry, Engineering, or Polymer related field
-Minimum 2 years of technical experience in chemistry related industry, knowledge or experience of Coatings is Preferred
-Proven track record of safe working habits
-Proven problem solving abilities
-Good organization and time management skills
-Comfortable working within groups. Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to deliver on plans
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Good verbal,written and presentation skills in both Chinese and English
-Proficient in computer application.
