We are expanding our team and are currently seeking active duty sworn police officers who want to put their training to work in a part time capacity, supplementing their income while making a positive impact for our client in South Holland, Illinois. As an Armed Security Officer, your role is critical in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Your training and experience will be invaluable in delivering exceptional security services and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

What We Offer

Available Shifts

We are hiring specifically for the following shifts. Please apply only if you are available for these:

- 1800 to 0000 hours, all days of the week

- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), any shift: 0000 to 0600 hours, 0600 to 1200 hours, 1200 to 1800 hours, or 1800 to 0000 hours

Scheduling is set on a month to month basis. Each month, officers pick their own shifts from the blocks above, so your week to week schedule can shift from one month to the next based on what you and your teammates select. This gives you real input into your schedule, but keep in mind it is not the same as open ended flex scheduling you may have seen elsewhere in the security industry. You will always be working within these shift windows, the flexibility is in which days and how your shifts fall within them each month.

Essential Functions

- Patrol assigned areas by foot and vehicle

- Answers call for assistance, including investigation of crimes, deaths, accidents, and injuries

- Enforces, controls, and directs traffic when appropriate

- Performs arrests for criminal violations of law

- Administers first aid in emergency cases

- Investigates suspicious circumstances

- Takes crime prevention measures and assists in controlling problems as they relate to the client

- Submits complete written reports and other documents as may be required

- Participates in required training courses and programs

Qualifications

- United States citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the US

- High school diploma or equivalent required, but college degree preferred

- Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire

- Not convicted of any felony in any jurisdiction or other crimes of moral turpitude. Conviction of crimes other than felonies may be used in determining moral character but may not necessarily constitute an absolute bar to employment, except where the applicant is a registered sex offender

- Must be currently employed as a sworn full time or part time police officer in good standing with their employing police agency. Correctional officers, auxiliary officers, community service officers, and other law enforcement employees who are not sworn law enforcement officers do not qualify for this position

- Possess a valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card (FOID)

- Must verify police officer status via form VE PEC

- Successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and online assessment

- Complete all required training
