Senior ProServe Cloud Architect , Professional Services - ASEAN

Description

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced Senior ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) to join our ASEAN team based in Singapore. In this role, you'll work closely with customers across Singapore and the broader ASEAN region to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, designing and implementing tailored cloud solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes.

As a Senior PCA, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers accelerate their cloud adoption journey — from migration and modernization to building cloud-native applications and leveraging emerging technologies such as generative AI. You will be a key player in the pre-sales process, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the customer's cloud journey.

Key job responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Solution Design
- Lead cloud solutioning during the pre-sales motion, providing demonstrations, initial scoping, designing, and managing AWS solutions while providing technical guidance and best practices

- Architect and design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions that address complex customer challenges across industries including public sector, financial services, telecommunications, and enterprise

- Drive cloud modernization and AI/ML transformation initiatives, including generative AI adoption strategies

- Define and lead technical workstreams across multiple concurrent engagements

Customer Engagement & Advisory
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior technical stakeholders, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to address customer challenges
- Lead technical discovery workshops, architecture design sessions, and proof-of-concept implementations
- Build deep customer relationships and identify opportunities to expand AWS adoption and Professional Services engagement
- Collaborate with AWS account teams, solution architects, and service teams to deliver integrated solutions

Delivery Excellence
- Lead and deliver complex cloud engagements including migrations, modernizations, data & analytics, and application development projects
- Ensure delivery quality, manage technical risks, and drive customer satisfaction
- Define project scope, estimates, and technical approaches for statements of work (SOW)
- Mentor and guide junior architects and consultants on the team

Thought Leadership & Community
- Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, creation of reusable artifacts, and process improvements
- Contribute to the development of ProServe best practices, frameworks, and accelerators
- Represent AWS ProServe at customer events, industry conferences, and community forums across ASEAN
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to apply new AWS services and features to customer challenges

Basic Qualifications

- 10+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
- 5+ years of leading development of solutions backed by AWS services or using other cloud based technologies and services experience
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Experience leading complex, multi-workload cloud engagements (migration, modernization, cloud-native development)
- Strong experience in pre-sales solutioning, including scoping, estimation, and proposal development

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
- Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders
- Experience with enterprise systems including SAP, Oracle, and custom applications
- Experience working with public sector, government, and regulated industry customers in Singapore and ASEAN
- Familiarity with ASEAN market dynamics, digital transformation initiatives (e.g., Smart Nation, government cloud policies), and regional compliance requirements
- Experience with generative AI, machine learning, and data analytics solution design
- Experience with large-scale migration programs (1000+ servers) using AWS Migration tools and methodologies
