Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Mgr, Lawn & Garden and Tools Supply Chain Team

Are you ready to define supply chain strategy for one of Amazon's most seasonally dynamic and operationally complex categories? Amazon is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead the end to end supply chain roadmap for our Lawn & Garden and Tools business. In this high visibility role, you will own the supply chain strategy for our most strategic vendor partners, partnering with Central Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology teams to design and scale improvements that extend beyond your category. You will use and enhance AI powered tools and workflows to drive faster, more accurate decision making, and actively experiment with how AI can reshape supply chain operations.

You will build deep strategic relationships with retail vendors, influence cross organizational teams, communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership, and mentor supply chain managers on your team. You will balance tactical execution with strategic planning in a fast paced environment, bringing strong cross functional communication skills and the ability to define approaches uniquely tailored to the seasonal dynamics of our business. This role combines P&L ownership, vendor strategy leadership, AI driven automation, and cross functional influence for someone who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by driving operational excellence at the intersection of supply chain operations and innovation.

Key job responsibilities
- Define and own the end to end supply chain strategy for Lawn & Garden and Tools, developing inventory sourcing approaches for our most strategic vendor that account for seasonal complexity, cost targets, and customer availability goals unique to the category.
- Partner with Central Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology teams to identify, design, and implement supply chain improvements that scale across and beyond Lawn & Garden and Tools, driving operational excellence and influencing adoption through clear communication and stakeholder alignment.
- Use and enhance AI powered tools and automated workflows in partnership with product managers and tech teams, improving how the business makes faster and more accurate supply chain decisions.
- Communicate supply chain performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross functional partners, translating complex data into clear narratives that drive alignment and action.
- Build deep, strategic relationships with retail vendors, influencing their supply chain approach and collaborating on joint initiatives to improve lead times, confirmation rates, inventory health, and overall performance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in supply chain programs and initiatives that impact beyond Lawn & Garden and Tools, mentoring and coaching team members while raising the bar on best practices across the broader organization.

A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing cross category supply chain performance and flagging risks ahead of a seasonal peak, then lead a strategy session with central partners. Mid morning, you could be refining an AI powered workflow with a tech team or mentoring a supply chain manager to raise the bar on analytical rigor. After lunch, you might join a call with a strategic vendor to co develop a roadmap for lead time improvements. Throughout the week, you will present insights to Senior Leadership and cross functional teams, and continuously refine the processes that drive your category's performance.

About the team
Our team owns supply chain strategy and sourcing execution for Amazon's Lawn & Garden and Tools business, ensuring customers can find and receive the products they need reliably and efficiently. We are investing in profitability improvements across the category and partnering with Central Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology teams to build solutions that scale. We are a collaborative group of supply chain and product managers who work closely with vendors, category teams, and operations partners. You will gain deep experience in P&L management, vendor operations, and AI based automation, building skills that open doors to senior roles across Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
- 5+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level
- Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, or experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- 4+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
- Experience with seasonal demand planning or inventory management in a high complexity retail environment
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced analytical techniques

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
