Guidewire Developer

We are seeking a Guidewire Developer to support the development, enhancement and maintenance of Guidewire applications across our technology landscape. Working within an Agile delivery team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, and support platform stability and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have good foundation in Guidewire PolicyCenter who is looking to further develop their technical capabilities in a collaborative environment.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington)

Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do

- Develop, configure and support Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing and deployment activities to ensure quality and reliability.
- Investigate and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice software development standards.
- Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, stand-ups and retrospectives.

Ōu Pūkenga me ōu Wheako | What You'll Bring

- 2-3 years' experience in software development or application engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Exposure to source control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of insurance products, preferably within General Insurance.
- Understanding of automation, monitoring or DevOps practices.
