ForMotion Clinic Northmead is seeking a motivated and hands-on Prosthetic Technician, Level 1 to join our technical team.

This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in the prosthetics industry. Working alongside experienced Prosthetists and Technicians, you will learn the skills required to fabricate, repair and maintain prosthetic devices that help people improve their mobility, independence and quality of life.

No previous prosthetics experience is required. We're looking for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship and are eager to learn a specialised technical profession.

About the Role

As a Prosthetic Technician Level 1, you will support the fabrication, repair, modification and maintenance of prosthetic devices while developing your technical skills through structured training and hands-on experience.

Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality prosthetic services while progressively building your knowledge, independence and technical capability.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the fabrication, repair and modification of prosthetic devices with guidance and support from Senior Technicians
- Learn and apply a range of manufacturing processes, materials and fabrication techniques
- Maintain high standards of quality, workmanship and attention to detail
- Support workshop operations, equipment maintenance and stock management
- Complete required documentation and administrative tasks accurately
- Work safely and contribute to a positive, organised workshop environment
- Participate in training, professional development and competency-based learning activities
- Collaborate with Prosthetists, Technicians and other team members to support positive client outcomes

Qualifications & Experience

You will be someone who enjoys practical hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship and is eager to learn and develop within a specialised healthcare field.

We're looking for someone who has:

- Previous experience in a trade, manufacturing, fabrication, technical or workshop environment (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team environment
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Sound communication skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
