Purpose of Job
Conduct all day to day Well Services and Well Integrity activities as requested by the Well Services Supervisors.
Key Accountabilities
- Supporting the assurance, the safety and the continued integrity of all wells at any time within its production life cycle;
- Conduct the bi-annual Function Testing of well architecture;
- Conduct the annual Well Integrity Testing of well architecture;
- Support the trouble shooting of malfunctioning well equipment in particular TR-SCSSVs, SSVs, chokes, gate valves and well instrumentation;
- Understand and strictly comply to the GSO Barrier Philosophy;
- Provide support to all Well Interventions like slick line, annulus top-up, well testing, etc. activities;
- Operate all Wellhead and Production Tree equipment upon request;
- Act as focal point and company representative for third party service providers;
- Support the MOEMS team in repairing, redressing and recertifying used gate and choke valves;
- Attend and support Emergency Response Exercises;
- Attending to well alarms;
- Regularly conducting visual inspections of all well sites;
- Understand and support Annulus Management (MAASP, MAWOP, NOL, tubular limitations, fluid compositions, etc.);
- Understand and operate the Well Services owned high pressure low volume, high volume, low pressure pump and keep it in good working order and certified;
- Collect data from wells upon request;
- Support the writing and issuing of reports on all daily operations;
- Proactively participate in shift handovers;
- Supporting the Well Services Supervisor upon request;
- Keep all measuring devices (gas detectors, pressure gauges, etc.) maintained and calibrated;
- Keep all Well Services vehicles in a safe and clean state (attend to all required inspection cycles);
- Give input to optimize day to day tasks and operational procedures;
- Closely collaborate with the Wells, Production, Instrumentation and Maintenance Teams;
- Support younger or new colleagues to develop their career in Well Services.
Formal Education
Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science or School Diploma or NQF Level 4 in Mechanic.
Working Experience
Experience: 4+ relevant years
