Job Title: Principal Software Engineer
Location:  Bangalore - Manyata Tech Park

Impact & Contribution:

As a Principal Engineer who can move comfortably between software, data, platforms and infrastructure. You enjoy solving complex engineering problems, building practical solutions and helping other engineers improve their engineering practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Provide hands-on technical leadership, helping set engineering direction and mentoring engineers.
- Design, build and evolve platforms, services, APIs and reusable engineering capabilities.
- Build scalable integration and data solutions connecting applications, infrastructure, cloud, configuration, asset, security, risk and operational data.
- Establish engineering standards and patterns covering architecture, code quality, APIs, testing, observability, security, resilience and deployment.
- Improve data quality, automation and governance through well-engineered data pipelines, APIs and integration patterns.
- Build and operate cloud solutions, preferably on AWS, using Infrastructure as Code and automated delivery practices.
- Partner with architecture, security, risk, data and engineering teams to deliver solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Help shape the evolution of enterprise technology platforms, including CMDB, IT Asset Management (ITAM) and ServiceNow capabilities.
- This is 100% hands-on engineering and coding, with direct accountability for design, development, testing, and delivery.

Essential Skills:

- 14–20 years of strong software engineering experience, including senior technical leadership.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with deep experience in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Golang, Python or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Experience designing data-intensive, API-led, microservices, serverless or event-driven systems.
- Strong experience designing and building APIs, integrations, automation and data pipelines.
- Experience designing, building and operating cloud solutions, preferably on AWS.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, observability and reliability engineering.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise data and integration architectures.
- Ability to work across application, infrastructure, cloud, data, security and enterprise architecture domains.

Education/Qualifications: A bachelor and/or masters degree in engineering OR any equivalent degree.
