Head of Contact Centre Operations
Location: Peterborough
At Coloplast, we are committed to improving the lives of people with intimate healthcare needs. We are looking for an exceptional operational leader to join us as our Head of Contact Centre Operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large-scale, customer-focused operation that plays a vital role in delivering outstanding service and support to customers, patients, and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, developing leadership capability, and ensuring a consistently high-quality customer experience while supporting continued growth and transformation.
The Role
As Head of Contact Centre Operations, you will have overall responsibility for the performance and day-to-day leadership of a complex operational function, leading both customer service and specialist support teams.
You will ensure the operation runs efficiently and effectively, maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, customer experience, and service delivery. With responsibility for operational strategy and execution, you will balance long-term planning with the demands of a fast-paced environment, ensuring teams are equipped to deliver exceptional outcomes.
This is a senior leadership role with accountability for service performance, workforce planning, resource management, operational governance, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will drive efficiencies, optimise processes, manage operational risk, and develop scalable ways of working that support future growth.
Working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the business, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the function, ensuring it remains customer-focused, commercially effective, and aligned to organisational objectives.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a proven operational leader with significant experience managing large-scale contact centre or customer operations environments.
You will have a strong track record of leading high-performing teams, improving operational performance, and successfully delivering change and transformation programmes. Experience managing multiple teams and developing leadership capability is essential, alongside the ability to create a culture that drives accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
You will bring a data-driven approach to decision making, using KPIs, service metrics, workforce planning, and operational insight to improve performance and customer outcomes. Strong stakeholder management skills are critical, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build effective relationships across a range of functions and seniority levels.
We're particularly interested in candidates who can combine strategic thinking with operational excellence, leading through change while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and colleague development.
