The successful candidate:

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

The Environmental Services Technician is a member of the City of Hope Environmental Services team and is responsible for performing established cleaning procedures to provide non-clinical sanitation support throughout assigned hospital areas. This role operates equipment and utilizes appropriate tools, products, and supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing assigned areas
- Cleaning furniture, fixtures, and other common surfaces
- Emptying trash and disposing of waste appropriately
- Maintaining patient rooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
- Following infection prevention, safety, and environmental standards
- Supporting a positive patient and visitor experience through excellent customer service

Education:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience:

- Healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment
