Legal Counsel, In-House

Accountabilities:

- Advise on and resolve a broad range of employment law matters across multiple countries.

- Provide legal guidance and practical support to internal teams when specialist legal expertise is required.

- Partner closely with business functions such as Operations and Sales to support day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives.

- Help the organization expand into new markets and develop international business opportunities while managing legal considerations.

- Ensure business activities remain compliant with applicable local employment laws and regulations.

- Coordinate with external lawyers, payroll providers, and other local partners to address jurisdiction-specific requirements.

- Contribute to consistent, high-quality legal processes and solutions across different markets.

Requirements:

- Qualified lawyer admitted to the Spanish Bar, with a strong specialization in Spanish employment law.

- Approximately 2–4 years of post-qualification legal experience gained in a law firm, an in-house legal department, or ideally a combination of both.

- Native-level Spanish and fluent business and legal English, both written and spoken.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex legal matters into practical business solutions.

- Commercial mindset and ability to balance legal requirements with operational and customer-focused considerations.

- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

- Knowledge of employment law in additional jurisdictions, such as Portugal, is an advantage.

- Familiarity with data protection and GDPR requirements is a plus.

- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial or sales contracts is desirable.

- Additional language skills, such as Portuguese, French, Italian, or German, are beneficial.
