THE ROLE

As Project Director , you will take full ownership of the delivery, performance and governance of a large-scale airport project in Dubai. Acting as the primary client interface, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee contractual and commercial matters, drive project strategy, and ensure successful delivery in terms of quality, cost, schedule and client satisfaction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Project Leadership & Delivery:  Lead the successful delivery of large-scale airport and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, project objectives, budgets and timelines.

- Client & Stakeholder Management:  Serve as the key point of contact for clients, leading technical discussions, managing stakeholder relationships and overseeing contractual commitments and project changes.

- Commercial & Contract Management:  Manage project contracts, commercial performance, subcontracting strategies, variations, claims support and financial objectives while safeguarding project profitability.

- Team Leadership & Resource Planning:  Lead multidisciplinary design and supervision teams, forecast resource requirements, mobilize project resources and drive high-performance project execution.

- Project Controls & Reporting:  Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, risks and key performance indicators, providing strategic and operational reporting to executive management.

- Quality, Risk & Compliance:  Ensure compliance with quality standards, contractual obligations, local regulations, international codes and project governance requirements.

- Construction Oversight:  Oversee contractor performance, approve key project deliverables and variations, and support effective project execution through all phases of delivery.

- Business & Strategic Contribution:  Support business growth initiatives, identify market opportunities, contribute to strategic planning and provide executive-level guidance on project-related matters.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Minimum 15 years of experience managing major construction, aviation or transportation projects, including airport developments.

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Airport Management, Aviation, Engineering or a related discipline.

- Proven track record delivering projects exceeding USD 1 billion in construction value.

- Strong experience leading multidisciplinary teams across design and site supervision environments.

- Excellent commercial, contractual and project management skills, including FIDIC contracts.

- Strong knowledge of engineering design, budgeting, planning, scheduling and risk management.

- Familiarity with Middle Eastern markets, stakeholders and business practices.

- Excellent leadership, communication and client management skills.

- Fluent English communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

- SoE Membership and Abu Dhabi Engineering License (or eligibility to obtain them).
