About this role
As a Talent and Organizational Development Specialist, you will lead and support initiatives that strengthen organizational capability, employee growth, and talent readiness across Irving Oil. You will play a key role in designing and evolving career pathways, talent development programs, and succession planning practices that help employees and leaders understand career opportunities, skill requirements, and development paths within the organization. Your goal will be to advance talent strategies, support organizational development priorities, and drive continuous improvement across talent management programs. Your success will be demonstrated through the delivery of impactful programs, strong stakeholder partnerships, measurable outcomes, and enhanced organizational capability.

Your Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of talent and organizational development programs, processes, and resources that enhance employee growth and organizational capability
- Develop and maintain career pathways, career development resources, and talent frameworks that help employees and leaders understand opportunities, skill requirements, and development options
- Support talent management processes including succession planning, talent reviews, onboarding, and development planning through coordination, analysis, and reporting
- Partner with leaders, Human Resources, and key stakeholders to identify needs, provide guidance, and support the execution of talent initiatives
- Analyze talent data, program results, and feedback to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and recommend improvements
- Coordinate and support the delivery of development programs, workshops, and talent initiatives while ensuring a positive participant experience
- Develop communications, tools, and resources that build awareness and engagement with talent and career development programs
- Conduct research, contribute to strategic projects, and recommend innovative practices that strengthen talent management and organizational effectiveness
Your Skills :
- Strong knowledge of talent management and organizational development principles, including career development, succession planning, and talent review processes
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and experience working with HRIS, talent management, learning, or employee experience systems
Your Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Learning & Development, or a related field
- Experience supporting talent management programs, interpreting data, and partnering with business leaders to deliver workforce and talent initiatives
The expected annual salary range for this position is $66,267 - $87,804 . Placement within the range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications and skills.
