Forklift Operator
Location: Garden City, GA
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Start Time: 6:55 AM
End Time: Based on daily production needs
About the Position
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and organize products throughout the facility.
This is a fast-paced warehouse environment where safety, productivity, teamwork, and reliability are essential. Candidates should have hands-on forklift experience and be comfortable working in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Load and unload trailers while preventing damage to products and equipment.
- Move, stage, and store inventory in designated locations.
- Retrieve and transport products to support daily orders and production requirements.
- Complete required equipment inspections and safety checks before operating machinery.
- Report equipment problems, damaged materials, and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Work closely with supervisors and coworkers to meet daily production and shipping goals.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience is required .
- Warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution experience is preferred.
- Ability to safely handle and transport materials of various sizes and types.
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-focused approach to work.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
