As the Manager of Insurance and Claims, you will protect Hapag-Lloyd assets while serving the interest of Hapag-Lloyd towards customers, insurers and third parties.
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Maritime Industry, handling maritime legal matters and/ or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Degree in Law, legal studies or a related field is preferred.
- Spanish proficiency is beneficial
- Team-oriented with a positive, open-minded approach and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and stakeholders
- Recognize and attend to multiple facets in unfamiliar issues and problems by applying a logical and systematic approach to analyzing and assembling relevant information from multiple sources.
- Make sound decisions in ambiguous situations not covered by explicit rules by applying general principles and guidelines.
- Adjust decisions to meet with changing circumstances or new information and provide a well thought out rationale for the decision.
- Proficient in MS Office (e.g., MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other software appropriate to work demands.
- This position is located inside of the United States and requires eligibility to work in the US and completion of the employment eligibility form required under federal law upon hire.
