3rd Shift Tufting Modra Operator - (Commercial)

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Modra Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting Modra equipment to ensure efficient production of yarn packages for tufting.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Load, start, and correctly thread jobs from the creel through the winder
- Perform color changes and audit trollies for tufting readiness
- Respond to yarn breaks, package pickup errors, and system alerts
- Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings (speed, density, cone restarts, abort/restart jobs) as needed
- Manage yarn supply on the creel and ensure proper handling during production
- Properly idle machines for breaks or shift changes
- Operate a pallet jack to safely move trollies in and out of the cell
- Act as the go-to expert, providing training sessions and one-on-one coaching to team members
- Suggest updates to training and SOPs to reflect new feedback and technological advancements

NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Flexibility to work any shift, including day or night shift for training purposes
- Basic math and computer proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to train operators effectively and transfer knowledge.
- Excellent attendance, performance, and employee record.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate in a dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated, driven, and positive attitude, with a focus on driving change and improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced startup operation.
