Keep Our Facility Running Safely and Reliably

GVC II is looking for a hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of our Bronx facility.

This role is a strong fit for someone with broad maintenance experience who is comfortable troubleshooting and repairing a variety of building systems. You’ll work across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and other facility components while helping ensure our location remains safe, functional, and well maintained.

What You’ll Do

- Troubleshoot and repair facility components and systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and other building equipment
- Inspect and test equipment and perform preventive maintenance
- Complete mechanical work and minor repairs on facility systems and equipment
- Install new components and systems as needed
- Perform general facility maintenance and upkeep
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Properly handle and dispose of non-hazardous and hazardous liquid and solid waste
- Operate tools and equipment safely and appropriately
- Identify maintenance concerns and communicate repair needs to management
- Support additional facility-related projects and maintenance needs as assigned

What We’re Looking For

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of maintenance or repair experience preferred
- Broad knowledge of general maintenance and repair work
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs across multiple facility systems
- Experience safely operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Strong focus on workplace safety
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed
- Electrician or welding license/certification is a plus
