We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager, Data Analytics

In this role, you will:

- Execute statistical, machine learning, anomaly detection, rules-based and graph network analyses to identify money mule risks across customer onboarding, early-stage activity and portfolio management. Translate business challenges into analytical problems and develop practical strategies that improve customer protection, financial crime prevention and business value.

- Design, develop and deploy money mule risk capabilities across multiple markets, working closely with business, technology, fraud, financial crime, compliance and other stakeholder teams. Diagnose and resolve moderate to complex analytical problems while ensuring that solutions are scalable, explainable and suitable for operational implementation.

- Write efficient, reliable and well-documented code to process data and deliver analytical solutions using appropriate data and cloud platforms. Apply strong knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning techniques, banking processes and fraud or financial crime technology to address diverse business requirements.

- Complete analytical and strategy projects to agreed timelines and quality standards, document methodologies and results, and present clear findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Identify new opportunities and lead self-initiated projects that generate measurable business benefits across the customer lifecycle.

- Work collaboratively in a diverse team environment, share best practices and coach or train new team members. Continue developing relevant business, technical and analytical skills, demonstrate accountability for delivery, and consistently uphold HSBC values, policies, procedures and required control standards.

To be successful you will:

- Demonstrate at least 3 years of hands-on analytics experience, solving complex data, reporting and business intelligence problems through structured analysis and practical recommendations. Apply strong business analysis skills to understand stakeholder needs, define requirements and deliver solutions that support informed decision-making.

- Apply in-depth knowledge of data modelling, including relational and dimensional models, to structure large datasets for business intelligence and reporting. Use Google Cloud Platform to manage data efficiently and support the development of reliable, scalable analytical solutions.

- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations using Looker and LookML scripting, ensuring that reporting is accurate, accessible and aligned with business objectives. Use strong storytelling techniques to communicate trends, insights, risks and opportunities clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Use Structured Query Language, BigQuery and Python scripting to extract, transform, analyse and validate data. Apply advanced spreadsheet skills, including Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications where appropriate, to support detailed analysis, automation and quality assurance.

- Manage analytical projects independently from initial scoping through delivery, ensuring that timelines, quality standards, dependencies and stakeholder expectations are controlled effectively. Communicate confidently with senior management by synthesising complex information into concise, evidence-based messages and actionable recommendations.

- Build effective relationships across business and technology teams, using strong communication and collaboration skills to deliver high-quality outcomes. Apply knowledge of contact centre operations, workforce management, banking products, data extraction and transformation processes, Google Cloud Platform, Jira and Confluence to strengthen analytical delivery.
