Security Inventory Specialist

Summary

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels throughout the warehouse, verifying truck inventory, conducting inventory counts and reconciliations, performing quality control checks, and supporting warehouse operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product accuracy, minimizing inventory discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

- Verify truck inventories to ensure product accuracy and accountability.

- Conduct warehouse inventory counts and perform inventory balancing and reconciliation activities.

- Operate powered industrial equipment and perform Forklift II duties safely and efficiently.

- Perform quality control inspections to identify and address inventory or product issues.

- Maintain knowledge of Shipping & Receiving (S&R) processes and provide coverage as needed. Work hours may vary when covering these responsibilities.

- Oversee the repack area and monitor warehouse damages to ensure proper documentation and disposition of products.

- Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in resolving inventory variances.

- Ensure inventory records are accurate and updated in company systems.

- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

- Communicate inventory concerns, shortages, damages, and operational issues to management in a timely manner.

- Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Previous warehouse, inventory control, or distribution experience preferred.

- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.

- Basic computer skills with the ability to enter and review inventory information.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively as a team member and collaborate with others.

- Ability to set and maintain high-performance standards.

- Demonstrated ability to maintain productivity while ensuring accuracy.

- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations without assistance.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.

- Ability to lift and move products in accordance with company safety guidelines.

- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet-moving equipment.

- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
