Nebraska Health Imaging is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our experienced team in Omaha. Flexible Schedule Options:

We are seeking coverage primarily for Tuesday through Friday evenings and Saturdays . Several scheduling options are available, allowing us to build a position around your availability and lifestyle.

Option 1 — Every Other Friday + Tuesday & Wednesday + Saturday

- Every other Friday: 1:00 PM–10:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
- Tuesday: 2:30 PM–10:00 PM
- Wednesday: 2:30 PM–10:00 PM

Option 2 — Every Other Friday + Tuesday–Thursday + Saturday

- Every other Friday: 1:00 PM–10:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
- Tuesday: 2:30 PM–10:00 PM
- Wednesday: 2:30 PM–10:00 PM
- Thursday: 2:30 PM–10:00 PM

Option 3 — Consistent Evening + Weekend Schedule

- Tuesday–Friday: 2:30 PM–10:00 PM
- Every Saturday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM

We are also open to splitting these hours between Full-Time Flex and Part-Time Flex team members . If you're looking for a flexible schedule without committing to a traditional full-time position, we'd love to talk with you.

The Role:

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI Technologist performs routine to complex magnetic resonance procedures and related techniques, producing high-quality images for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.

The MRI Technologist is responsible for:

- Performing MRI examinations according to established protocols and physician orders
- Reviewing patient history and orders to ensure the appropriate examination is performed
- Positioning patients and selecting appropriate pulse sequences and imaging parameters
- Evaluating images for technical quality
- Providing education and reassurance to patients throughout the examination
- Performing venipuncture and maintaining IV access when required
- Administering medications as prescribed and under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner
- Performing POC creatinine clearance testing according to established protocols
- Recognizing and appropriately responding to emergency situations
- Understanding and following MRI safety, including emergency shutdown and quench procedures
- Maintaining accurate patient documentation and digital image records
- Participating in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
- Maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a safe and ready state
- Assisting other areas of the imaging center when workload allows
- Participating in staff meetings, education, and center-wide initiatives
- Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education

- Associate degree in Radiology or graduation from an accredited two-year radiologic technology program

Certification & Licensure

- Current ARRT certification in Radiography
- ARRT MRI advanced certification required upon hire for IDTF centers
- Current state licensure as required

Skills & Experience

- Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols
- Ability to safely and effectively operate MRI and ancillary equipment
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask
- Accurate and concise documentation skills
- Computer proficiency, including imaging, medical record, and digital archiving systems
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
