About this role
Accountabilities:
- Develop, configure, maintain, and enhance decision engines and business rules using FICO Blaze Advisor, including Rule Studio and Rule Maintenance Application (RMA).
- Implement and evolve prior authorization rules while ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Design and maintain complex decision logic, including decision tables, decision trees, scorecards, and ruleflows.
- Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of implemented decision solutions.
- Analyze, test, and validate business rules and decision flows to ensure accuracy and operational quality.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with decision engines and business rule execution.
- Support continuous improvements to authorization and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, clarify, and detail requirements.
- Monitor production rules and support incident resolution, troubleshooting, and necessary adjustments.
- Document functionalities, configurations, rule changes, and technical implementations.
- Contribute to the governance, quality, stability, and continuous evolution of decision engines and business rules.
Requirements:
- Strong experience developing, configuring, and supporting solutions using FICO Blaze Advisor, including Rule Studio and Rule Maintenance Application (RMA).
- Solid knowledge of business rule modeling and architecture, including decision tables, decision trees, scorecards, and ruleflows.
- Strong Java development knowledge for integration with decision engines.
- Experience developing and supporting integrations through REST and SOAP APIs.
- Knowledge of data exchange and communication formats such as JSON and XML.
- Strong SQL knowledge for querying, integrating, and optimizing relational databases.
- Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or SQL Server databases.
- Ability to analyze, develop, test, and maintain complex business rules.
- Experience supporting, monitoring, and evolving decision engines in production environments.
- Previous experience with prior authorization environments, payment systems, or high-volume financial platforms is a plus.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
