Skyline Education Preschool is seeking a Part-Time Lead Preschool & Aftercare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This position offers potential for additional hours based on experience and program needs. This position is for the current school year.

Job Details

- Schedule: 1:00-5:00 M-F

- Job Type: Part-Time

- Pay: Dependent on experience and education

Qualifications (Preferred)

- Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits or an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education

- Experience working with preschool or Pre-K aged children

- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills

- Passion for early childhood education and child development

- Spanish speaking a plus

Required Certifications & Clearances

- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain upon hire)

- Completion of required Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and DES training (to obtain upon hiring)

Daily Responsibilities

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate Pre-K lessons and activities

- Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment

- Supervise children at all times and follow all health and safety procedures

- Lead daily classroom routines, including circle time, learning centers, meals, and transitions

- Collaborate with assistant teachers and the Director

- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and required documentation

- Communicate professionally with families during drop-off and pick-up

- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and school policies

Curriculum & Assessment

- Implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based Preschool curriculum (Frogstreet) aligned with early learning standards

- Use ongoing observation and assessment tools to monitor children’s progress and developmental milestones

- Document learning through assessments, anecdotal notes, and portfolios as required

- Use assessment data to guide lesson planning and support individual learning needs

- Partner with families to share developmental progress and classroom learning goals

- Manage Procare App, which allows for parent communication throughout the school day
