Job Title: Lab IT/OT Support Engineer
Location: Northvile, MI (Onsite)
Type: Contract
Job Summary
Summary: Serve as the primary IT/OT support resource for laboratory and test equipment, bridging engineering, facilities, vendors, controls teams, and enterprise IT to minimize downtime and resolve issues end-to-end.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Support laboratory test systems, HIL platforms, industrial equipment and specialized applications.
• Troubleshoot Windows, drivers, software, USB devices, PCs and data-transfer issues.
• Provide basic Allen-Bradley PLC and ladder logic troubleshooting.
• Support network connectivity, whitelisting, firewall and infrastructure-related issues.
• Coordinate with vendors, engineering teams and Plant IT through issue resolution.
• Document incidents, root causes, fixes and knowledge articles.

Required Skills:
• Windows support, hardware/software troubleshooting and networking fundamentals.
• Experience in IT, OT, manufacturing, laboratory or engineering environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, permissions and system administration.
• Ability to support legacy systems and non-standard environments.
• Strong problem-solving, vendor coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
• Allen-Bradley PLCs, ladder logic and industrial networking.
• HIL systems, test equipment, data acquisition systems and OT environments.
• Automotive, manufacturing or R&D laboratory experience.
• Desktop and workstation support, including legacy Windows
• Drivers, peripherals, and industrial PCs
• Basic networking and industrial equipment connectivity
• Hands-on-around equipment: checking cables, connecting interfaces, verifying network connections, and working directly with engineers and technicians
