Job Purpose: Support the Director of Warehouse Operations in overseeing daily warehouse operations. This includes managing inventory, processing and fulfilling orders, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols. The role is focused on optimizing warehouse efficiency, maintaining accurate inventory records, and facilitating effective communication among warehouse staff. Additionally, the position plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to clients. Success in this role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials
Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting and recordkeeping purposes.
Affix shipping labels on packed cartons.
Assemble wooden or cardboard containers to selects preassembled containers.
Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers and protective padding.
Unpack and examine incoming shipments, records shortages/missing items and damaged items.
Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Operate forklift and hand-trucks to move or hoist shipments to and from receiving platform to storage or work area.
Conduct periodic cycle counts and inventory.
Remove shipping cartons/refuse in the warehouse.
Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the warehouse.
Notify supervisory personnel of problems with shipments/orders.
Maintain product stock in work area.
Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Timely and regular attendance is required to ensure work flow is not interrupted.
Assist all employees in department in completing their work when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education High School diploma or equivalent
Required Experience & Skills
Must be proficient in spoken and written English
Must possess computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, and Word
Ability to use email and phone extensions
Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Must have the ability to multi task, effectively manage time and prioritize responsibilities
Must be punctual, meticulous and reliable
Must be able to work 8-hours daily, 5-days weekly, Monday through Friday
Must be able to work overtime when required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Workload: This position is classified as heavy work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Vision: Maintain close visual acuity for computer work, data analysis, reading, and color recognition.
Mobility and Movement: Walking for extended distances, standing for prolonged periods, and transitioning between positions such as stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
Manual Agility and Reach: Reaching in various directions and using upper extremities to push, pull, lift, or carry objects.
Strength and Endurance: Exerting physical effort to move items from one position to another, including lifting from low to high surfaces and applying sustained force during pushing or pulling tasks.
