As a Director, Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management , you will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities, optimizing quality, cost, delivery, risk, and turnaround time. You will partner with procurement, quality, engineering, program teams, and business leaders to build a reliable, compliant, and resilient supplier network.

What You’ll Do

- Lead supplier selection (RFQ/RFP), negotiations, and contract management to optimize total cost of ownership, mitigate risk, and support business objectives.
- Assess the current supply base and develop sourcing strategies and pipelines using spend analytics, market intelligence, and business requirements to strengthen supplier capacity and coverage.
- Build strong supplier relationships and manage performance through scorecards, Quarterly Business Reviews, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, delivery, and turnaround time.
- Identify and execute cost reduction, process efficiency, sustainability, and other productivity opportunities across supplier spend categories and product lines.
- Partner with BU Leadership, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain teams to ensure operational and contract compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with StandardAero’s ethical and financial standards.
- Lead supplier risk management activities, including capacity assessments, risk identification, dual sourcing, business continuity planning, and forward-looking mitigation strategies.
- Support enterprise supply chain initiatives focused on supply chain optimization, digital transformation, operational excellence, and process improvement.
- Coach and mentor procurement professionals in supplier relationship management, contracting, negotiation, structured problem solving, and best practices.
- Partner with the Supply Chain Transformation Leader to drive continuous improvement, team capability, and implementation of key initiatives, including Lean methodologies and root cause analysis.
- Lead strategic supplier reviews and resolve complex performance issues using data-driven analysis and structured problem-solving methods, including 8D, to drive sustainable corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is posted.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supplier/vendor management, supply chain, or procurement within an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing supplier performance, relationships, and/or contracts.
- Experience developing sourcing strategies that have resulted in measurable cost savings, turnaround time reduction, or other documented operational improvements.
- Experience negotiating and managing supplier, vendor, and/or subcontractor contracts.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and sourcing/procurement tools.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting aerospace OEMs, Tier 1, or Tier 2 suppliers and familiarity with FAA, EASA, ITAR, and export control requirements.
- APICS CSCP, CPSM, Six Sigma Green Belt, or similar certification.
- Experience managing international or long-lead-time suppliers and supplier risk management.
- Experience with supplier scorecards, spend analytics, market intelligence, and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Experience with Lean, 8D, root cause analysis, or other structured process improvement methodologies.
- Experience coaching or mentoring procurement or supply chain professionals.
