Your Impact

As a Store Merchandising – Collateral Production Intern at Lowe’s , you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the development, production, and execution of merchandising collateral used throughout Lowe’s stores. You’ll work alongside business partners to help coordinate projects that bring merchandising strategies and customer-facing communications to life in the store environment.

Throughout the internship, you’ll gain exposure to the processes behind producing and delivering in-store collateral, including signage, promotional materials, product messaging, and other visual elements that support the customer shopping experience. You’ll collaborate across teams to help ensure projects are executed accurately, efficiently, and according to established timelines and business needs.

This role is ideal for students interested in combining retail merchandising, project management, creative production, operations, and cross-functional collaboration within a large-scale retail environment.

This internship is based at Lowe’s Store Support Center – Mooresville (SSC-M) in Mooresville, North Carolina .

Throughout the summer, you’ll have opportunities to collaborate with merchandising and cross-functional business partners, participate in professional development experiences, expand your professional network, and gain exposure to how corporate teams support merchandising execution across Lowe’s stores.

What You Will Learn

- How in-store merchandising collateral moves from initial planning and creative development through production and store execution.
- How signage, promotional materials, and other merchandising communications support the customer shopping experience.
- How collateral production projects are coordinated across multiple stakeholders, timelines, and business priorities.
- How Store Merchandising partners with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Store Operations, and other cross-functional teams.
- How project timelines, production requirements, deliverables, and approvals are managed within a large retail organization.
- How to review project details for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business requirements.
- How data, reporting, and business feedback can be used to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- How to communicate project updates, findings, risks, and recommendations to business partners.
- How merchandising collateral supports broader promotional and merchandising strategies across Lowe’s stores.

Minimum Qualifications

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Management, Communications, Graphic Communications, Project Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028 .
- Ability to work at Lowe’s Store Support Center in Mooresville, NC for the duration of the internship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills/Experience

- 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word .
- Experience or coursework related to merchandising, retail, marketing, print or creative production, project management, or business operations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to organize multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
- Ability to analyze information and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Interest in understanding how visual merchandising and in-store communications influence the customer experience.
- Demonstrated initiative through internships, employment, leadership roles, campus organizations, volunteer activities, or other relevant experiences.
