IMEG is hiring an Electrical Design Technician in Rogers, Arkansas. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants to assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings.

You will support project budgets, design progress, quality-control processes, and multidisciplinary coordination across building-systems work to help meet project goals and client expectations. This role also contributes to safe, practical electrical design solutions for institutional and commercial projects.

What You'll Do

- Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems for buildings.
- Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software and tools according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
- Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
- Analyze lower complexity design tasks and propose innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.
- Participate in IMEG quality control processes to help ensure designs meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
- Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of design work and identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.

What You'll Bring

Required Skills/Abilities

- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
- Familiar use of Adobe or Bluebeam Revu
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Knowledge in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred

- Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM), or Engineering preferred

- Prior experience in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred

- Revit experience preferred
