Job Description

As an HR Assistant with OMES you will enjoy:

Job Details

- Full-time, 40 hours per week in office position
- Support the Human Resources team
- Salary up to $60,000.00 based on education and experience.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate the recruiting process from posting jobs and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and preparing interview packets.
- Conduct candidate screenings to evaluate experience, professionalism, reliability, communication, availability, and overall fit.
- Create a positive candidate experience through efficient and transparent communication.
- Maintain applicant data in recruiting database of the Workday system.
- Track recruiting metrics and help the agency continuously improve the recruiting process.
- Enter transactional data such as supervisory changes, new hires, separations, salary increases, appointment changes, and all other employment actions into Workday as directed by HR Business Partners.
- Review new hire paperwork for accuracy and completion, assist with new hire orientation, as needed.
- Scan various documents and assist the HR Business Partners with ongoing projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

- This position is in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday.  The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.
- Ability to stand for 6-8 hours when attending recruiting events and be able to sit or perform duties on a computer for 6-8 hrs.
- Occasional travel may be required. May assist and/or attend recruiting events.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or related field; and
- 1+ years of recruiting and/or HR experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical recruiting experience preferred. *

* This opening is for two positions, one of which will focus on supporting the OMES Information Services division.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess

- Experience with an ATS, HRIS (Workday preferred), LinkedIn, and other recruiting tools.
- An enjoyment for talking to people and building relationships.
- The ability to balance multiple openings, deadlines, and priorities.
- Employment laws and recruiting best practices knowledge.
- The ability to be organized, proactive, and detail oriented.
- Strong problems solving skills.
- The ability to find creative ways to attract talent.
