TEAM OVERVIEW

The Global Client Solutions Group (“KCS”) is KKR’s dedicated investor solutions team. KCS consists of over 300 executives located in 13 offices across four continents and in 10 countries. The group’s long-term objective is to diversify KKR’s client base to include new investors, across all regions and institution types, and to raise capital for the Firm’s expanding product platform through developing, structuring and maintaining collaborative partnerships with our investors.

POSITION SUMMARY

KKR is seeking an experienced Director to join our team and drive the expansion and diversification of our Defined Contribution (DC) product suite. This individual will lead the design, development, and launch of innovative investment solutions across 401(k), 403(b), 457, IRAs, pooled employer plans, and institutional retirement platforms. Sitting at the intersection of product strategy, structuring, regulatory compliance, distribution enablement, and strategic partnerships, they will help shape KKR’s long-term growth and innovation strategy in the retirement market.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy & Development

- Lead end-to-end product development for DC-focused alternative investment solutions, including private equity, private credit, real assets, and multi-asset strategies

- Analyze competitive landscape, participant needs, regulatory developments (DOL, ERISA, SEC), and platform trends to identify product gaps and innovation opportunities

- Serve as a subject-matter expert and thought-leadership partner, collaborating closely with investment teams and the retirement leadership team

Market & Client Engagement

- Partner with distribution teams to identify DC market opportunities, client needs, and competitive positioning

- Represent the firm externally as a thought leader in the DC and retirement ecosystem, including client discussions, public speaking at industry conferences, and engagement on policy and regulatory matters with trade groups and government stakeholders

- Develop compelling investment narratives and educational materials tailored to DC audiences

Regulatory & Operational Excellence

- Navigate complex regulatory landscape governing alternatives in DC plans, including DOL safe harbors, valuation requirements, and disclosure obligations

- Partner closely with public policy & affairs, legal, compliance, and operations to ensure product structures meet fiduciary, regulatory and operational standards

- Coordinate with third-party service providers to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing support

Cross-Functional Leadership

- Serve as central point of coordination across investment, legal, compliance, distribution, marketing, and client service teams

- Develop business cases, financial models, and go-to-market plans for new product launches

- Monitor product performance, incorporate client feedback, and drive continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

- 9+ years of experience in asset management and / or defined contribution, with direct exposure to product development at a top-tier asset manager or alternative platform

- Strong track record designing and launching products including CITs, 1940-Act Funds, TDF components, alternative access vehicles, or retirement income solutions

- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder-coordination skills, partnering effectively with senior leaders including the Head of Defined Contribution

- Strong technical proficiency across private markets, multi-asset solutions, portfolio construction, and investment product mechanics

- Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with product specialists, sales teams, investment teams, wealth teams, and leadership

- Player coach mindset, leading by example

EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS

- Bachelor’s degree required from a top tier institution; MBA and/ or CFA preferred; other advanced certifications are a plus

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance. Base Salary Range $160,000 — $250,000 USD
