Maintenance Electrician

Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Electrician to support the production of energetic materials in a continuous production environment. This is a critical role requiring a master-level approach to troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial equipment and plant utilities. Due to the nature of the materials produced, we require a candidate with a steadfast commitment to safety, precision, and technical excellence.
What You Will Do

- Specialized Maintenance: Execute planned corrective and preventive maintenance of high-stakes production equipment, including mills, mixers, dryers, conveyors, interlock systems, and utility equipment.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Support diagnosis and repair of electrical and pneumatic controls, VFDs, PLCs, and process control instrumentation.
- Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize secondary power distribution, motor controls, ESDs, lighting systems, and circuitry to ensure reliability.
- Project Leadership: Support the checkout and commissioning of modernization and improvement projects, helping to ensure new installations meet site engineering, NEC / OSHA safety standards.
- Resource Planning: Evaluate work requests to determine the precise materials, parts, and tools required for efficient execution. Pull determined job materials and parts from inventory and provide specifications where items require procurement.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Mechanics and Control Systems Technicians to solve complex plant issues.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the electrical maintenance trade.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in a chemical or hazardous material production facility is strongly desired.
- Certification & Education: Journeyman Electrician certification is required.
- Technical Mastery: Expert ability to interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Safety Compliance: Deep working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and OSHA safety procedures, with a strict adherence to Plant Protection Standards and PPE requirements.
- Operational Flexibility: Ability to work independently in a team setting and willingness to support the plant during after-hours emergencies.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Industry Background: Prior experience in a chemical or hazardous material production facility is strongly desired.

Education: An Associate’s degree in Electrical or Electro-mechanical Technology is highly desirable.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $54014 - $86423

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
