We're looking for a Wean-Finish Specialist who shares these values and takes pride in doing meaningful work that supports animal health, welfare, and production.
What You'll Do
As a Wean-Finish Specialist, you'll help care for our animals and maintain the barns and equipment that keep our operations running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:
- Monitor animal health and welfare and provide daily care.
- Ensure animals have proper access to feed, water, and a healthy environment.
- Treat and vaccinate animals as needed.
- Monitor feed levels, feeders, watering systems, ventilation, and alarms.
- Respond to site alarms and communicate health or equipment concerns.
- Maintain accurate production and treatment records.
- Assist with barn cleaning, power washing, loading, and animal movement.
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-kept facilities.
- Follow all animal welfare and biosecurity standards.
- Perform routine equipment and facility checks and maintenance.
What We're Looking For
- Someone who genuinely cares about animals and takes pride in their work.
- Dependable, responsible, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs., with reasonable accommodation.
- Willing to work rotating weekends, holidays, and occasional non-standard hours.
- Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
- PQA certification must be maintained.
