In this role, you will lead the electrical design of facility expansion and maintenance capital projects delivered by third-party engineering firms. You will ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, industry codes, Company standards, budgets, and schedules while collaborating with Project Execution, Operations, Shared Services, Supply Chain, and Construction teams.

What You Will Do:

- Develop electrical project scopes, schedules, capital cost estimates, execution plans, risk assessments, and supporting information during project development.
- Ensure electrical facilities comply with regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements, applicable industry codes, and Company standards.
- Oversee third-party engineering firms and manage electrical design deliverables against approved project budgets and schedules.
- Review and approve drawings, technical reports, material lists, vendor quotations, and technical bid evaluations while supporting material procurement with Supply Chain.
- Provide technical support during construction, incorporate lessons learned into future designs, and guide junior engineers and other team members.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, Construction, Shared Services, and external engineering partners to communicate progress, resolve complex issues, and support departmental initiatives.

Who You Are:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline from an accredited university or college.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering system design and commissioning activities.
- Preference is for a Professional Engineer (PE) designation.
- Knowledgeable: You have strong technical expertise in 480V systems, motor controls, variable frequency drives, medium-voltage switchgear, power distribution systems, and applicable power-industry standards.
- Resourceful is being able to work independently, manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks, and resolve complex issues using sound technical and business judgment.
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, build effective stakeholder relationships, and demonstrate the ability to innovate and manage change.

Working Conditions:

- Office environment.
- Stress levels can be above normal because project work is deadline-oriented, highly visible, and involves numerous concurrent activities.
- Moderate travel (20%). Ability to travel the United States. Potential for overnight business trips to field locations.
- A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required which will be validated before hire.
- Field locations will typically require Personal Protective Equipment to be worn.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:

- Ranges from $110,000 to $150,000 USD for U.S. locations based upon the candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
- Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
