Role:
Assists the Lenders and Underwriting with processing loan pipelines and applications, while efficiently utilizing loan application software. Prepare and review BMI & Bank loan documents for accuracy pre and post-closing.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Accurately drafts and proofs loan documents and disclosures for lending staff. Communicates with Attorneys / Title companies to complete preparation of loan documents. Request additional information when necessary.
- Ensures files meet compliance, applicable law and regulatory guidelines, including compliance regulations, policies and procedures are within guidelines to the highest level. Including loan estimate issued/signed within 3 days of application, closing disclosure issued/signed 3 days prior to closing, HMDA review, review loan documents, and acknowledgement of appraisal receipt 3 days prior to closing. Track loan status of pipelines and applications to ensure timely decision and closing.
- Accurately process loan closing conditions including but not limited to obtaining customer financial documentation, income verification, ordering appraisals, ordering title work, requesting verification of insurance, ordering flood determinations, and requesting payoff verifications. Assist officers and underwriting in clearing outstanding exceptions
- Assist the Flex Lenders with inputting applications, pipelines, and exceptions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Performance Measurements:
1. To produce loan documents, reports, and new accounts in a timely fashion, with zero errors.
2. To prepare file for underwriting as outlined by BMI or Bank of Bartlett.
3. Organize and complete customer loan files.
4. To cross sell bank products and services.
5. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
6. To maintain working knowledge of all mortgage products and rates, from the industry overall.
7. To maintain the confidentiality of all information as directed in banking procedures.
8. To complete all assigned training within the allotted time frame.
9. To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all customers and employees.
10. To comply with all state and federal regulations that are applicable to their specific job duties.
11. Each position within the Company shares in the cross-selling of the Company's products and services.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Must have good communication skills; 10 key calculator and keyboard skills required.

Physical Requirements: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
