Integration And Test Engineer

Job Title: Systems Test Engineer Job Description The Systems Test Engineer designs, plans, and executes systems-level testing for complex products, systems, and subsystems that may include electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and software components. This role leads the development of test programs, ensures products meet applicable requirements and specifications, and provides comprehensive documentation and support throughout the testing lifecycle. Responsibilities

- Design, develop, analyze, document, and support testing of complex products, systems, and subsystems that include electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and software components.
- Create and refine processes to effectively test products and verify that they meet all applicable requirements, specifications, and standards.
- Plan and execute systems-level integration testing, including test procedure development and data acquisition activities.
- Lead the design and development of test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services.
- Write clear, traceable test plans from system and product requirements, and ensure full coverage of functional and performance criteria.
- Perform integration testing in accordance with relevant military standards and other applicable test standards.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate test status, issues, and risks across cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and project stakeholders to resolve test findings and improve product performance and reliability.
- Specify and source test-related components, such as cables and other hardware, as needed to support test execution.
- Lead and mentor less experienced engineers in test planning, execution, and documentation best practices.
- Develop Basis of Estimates for test engineering work, including labor and materials, to support statements of work and contract bids.
- Document test results, analyze data, and prepare reports and recommendations for product validation and verification.

Essential Skills

- Proven expertise in systems-level test planning and execution for complex products, systems, or subsystems.
- Strong experience in integration testing, including working with integrated systems and data acquisition tools.
- Ability to design, develop, analyze, document, and support comprehensive test procedures and test programs.
- Knowledge of military standards and the ability to apply them in test procedures and integration testing.
- Experience working with products that include electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and software components.
- Ability to write and execute test plans directly from requirements, ensuring full traceability and coverage.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience participating in project meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor less experienced engineers in a test engineering environment.
- Capability to specify and source test-related components, such as cables and other hardware, as needed.
- Preferred ability to estimate labor and materials for test engineering statements of work in support of contract bids.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- History in integrated products with a focus in electrical engineering and systems engineering.
- Experience with the design and execution of test programs for integrated systems.
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and tools used in test environments.
- Ability to develop Basis of Estimates for test engineering work to support proposals and bids.
- Experience working in small engineering teams and collaborating across disciplines.

Work Environment This role operates within a small, collaborative team of approximately four engineers. The position follows a 9/80 work schedule, providing an extended weekend every other week, with remote work flexibility typically available from Tuesday through Thursday. The work involves planning and executing tests on complex integrated systems, using data acquisition tools and test equipment in a professional engineering environment. Approximately 15% travel is expected to support testing activities, collaboration with project teams, and work at other facilities as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $93000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
