Maintenance Technician

ROLE SYNOPSIS

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing and coordinating planning and scheduling, safety-critical equipment (SCE) testing, vendor payments and purchase orders, special projects, and construction oversight.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Follow all qualified unit and company rules, guidelines, and health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) practices and procedures.

- Serve as the bpx representative for construction and project activities.

- Ensure completion of mechanical integrity and SCE inspections, and oversee or perform preventive maintenance within the identified timeframe.

- Manage budgets and ensure cost efficiency for all aspects of work completed within the team.

- Promote a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.

- Identify all risks associated with assigned work before execution.

- Support the development of maintenance plans and projects, including work pack development.

- Identify improvement opportunities and perform basic defect elimination in the day-to-day execution of work.

- Complete all work, especially regulatory compliance work and SCE preventive maintenance, as planned.

- Record pertinent work order information daily, including failure reporting, improvements, time, requests for master data changes, and lessons learned.

- Interpret technical drawings.

- Comply with BP's Code of Conduct and model BP's Values and Behaviors'.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.

- 3+ years of comparable oil and gas experience.

- Basic computer skills required, including experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Monday.com.

- SAP experience is a strong plus.

- Experience managing contractors and overseeing construction activities.

- Ability to test and troubleshoot instrumentation.

- Ability to interpret technical drawings.

LOCATION

Haynesville asset area, Shreveport, LA

SCHEDULE

- Monday-Friday schedule, 8-hour days.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base Pay

$101,000 - $137,000 USD annually

Note that the pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
