Women's Health Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) is a position pertaining to advanced clinical practice. This individual provides comprehensive women's health care while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Women and Children's Health Program. The Women's Health NP/PA ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities

- Provide full-scope women's health care, including preventive, reproductive, prenatal/postpartum, and gynecologic services.

- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications.

- Perform procedures such as Pap smears, contraceptive counseling, STI testing/treatment, and menopause management.

- Collaborate with providers, other clinic staff, and community partners to ensure holistic care.

- Provide family-centered primary healthcare to women of all ages

- Provide routine gynecological services including reproductive health visits, regular gynecologic care (i.e., annual exams) and peri/post-menopausal care and preventive care

- Consult with other agencies and other health and social care professionals to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

- Must have clinical experience as an NP or PA, preferably in a clinic setting

- Knowledge of women's health programs and practices

- Successful experience managing people and working on teams.

- Demonstrated commitment to reproductive and gender justice, health equity and working with a diverse community.

- Lead to ensure a culture of inclusivity, collaboration and continuous improvement in the organization

- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with cultural humility and sensitivity

- Passion for advancing women's health and equity and reducing disparities.
