is hiring a Part-Time Showroom Floor Sales Associate

Position Summary The Sales Associate / Showroom Floor Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while actively supporting the merchandising and physical setup of the showroom floor. This is a dual-role position combining consultative sales with hands-on furniture and home furnishings movement.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

- Greet and assist customers in a warm, knowledgeable manner

- Guide customers through the showroom and provide product information

- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems

- Support consignor intake and item tagging as needed

- Maintain showroom appearance, cleanliness, and visual standards

Showroom Floor & Merchandising

- Assist in the placement, relocation, and staging of furniture and home furnishings on the showroom floor

- Collaborate with team members on team lifts for large or heavy items

- Rearrange displays to reflect new inventory, seasonal changes, or sales directives

- Follow all safety protocols when moving merchandise

Compensation

Hourly pay based on experience (DOE). We offer competitive pay plus commissions and bonuses for eligible employees.

Qualifications

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in consignment buying, furniture retail, estate sales, or a related field

- Current, working knowledge of fine, high-end furniture and home décor brands and market values

- Excellent customer service and communication skills — both verbal and written

- Strong research and computer skills; ability to look up and verify item provenance and value

- An impeccable sense of style and a professional, polished appearance

- POS system experience preferred

- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced showroom environment

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
