Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to assist in the design, assembly, and testing of autonomous vehicles and auxiliary equipment within a portfolio of autonomous maritime products for defense, marine research, and commercial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in electrical engineering, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities

- Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
- Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of electrical system requirements into optimized methods for assembly, testing, and maintenance.
- Support the development of automated test fixtures.
- Perform quality inspection and control using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and visual inspection.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary product development teams.
- Participate in architecting platform electrical and power systems.
- Design, simulate, prototype, test, and maintain production-mature circuit card assemblies.
- Perform other electrical engineering duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

- Electrical engineering expertise.
- Proficiency in electrical design.
- Experience in research and development (R&D).
- Quality inspection and control knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Minimum of 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 7 years with a Master's degree, or 4 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Extensive experience in multi-disciplinary product development teams.
- Experience in architecting platform electrical and power systems.
- Experience in designing, simulating, prototyping, testing, and maintaining circuit card assemblies.
- Experience with automated test fixtures.
- Familiarity with systems that include hardware and software components for DoD, academic, or commercial use.
- Demonstrates attention to detail.

Work Environment This opportunity resides within the Unmanned Systems group, which creates advanced unmanned maritime solutions for defense, marine research, and commercial applications. The team serves customers in over 30 countries and is part of a global engineering and defense technologies provider. The work involves design, autonomy, manufacturing, testing, operations, and sustainment of unmanned systems, including unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) and unmanned surface vessels. The team is headquartered in Virginia, with a skilled workforce of 44,000 employees.

This is a Contract position based out of Pocasset, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
