Job Title: QA/QC Inspector Job Description
A growing construction organization is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to support field installation quality on large-scale industrial and mission critical projects. This role focuses on verifying electrical workmanship, documenting inspections, and actively supporting quality initiatives across complex project sites. The QA/QC Inspector will work closely with electricians, superintendents, and project leadership to help teams improve quality and execution through collaboration, coaching, and mentorship rather than solely enforcing compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough field inspections of electrical installations on large-scale industrial and mission critical projects.
- Verify that electrical installations follow proper installation practices, standards, and project specifications.
- Identify deficiencies, non-conformances, and potential quality issues in the field and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support and reinforce installation quality standards across project teams and crews.
- Document inspection findings accurately and prepare clear reports for project leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with electricians, superintendents, and project leadership to address quality concerns and improve execution.
- Educate field personnel on quality requirements, best practices, and proper electrical construction methods.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to crews to enhance workmanship and overall project quality.
- Build trust and strong working relationships with electrical crews and project teams through consistent field presence and support.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on quality expectations and project objectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA/QC processes and procedures within the project environment.
Essential Skills
- Strong electrical construction knowledge, including understanding of electrical construction methods and installation practices.
- Proven quality control and inspection experience in an active construction environment.
- Ability to verify proper electrical installation practices against project standards and requirements.
- Experience working alongside electricians in the field with strong field credibility.
- Effective communication skills to convey findings, expectations, and guidance clearly.
- Ability to identify deficiencies and define appropriate corrective actions during inspections.
- Demonstrated capability to educate, coach, and mentor field personnel on quality and best practices.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to influence and support crews in improving quality and execution.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills for recording inspections and communicating results.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with project teams and electrical crews.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Background as a former electrician is preferred and provides valuable practical experience.
- Experience with QA/QC processes in electrical engineering and data center or mission critical environments.
- Comfort working in project-based assignments that may vary by site and scope.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic construction site conditions and evolving project needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and trust across diverse field teams.
Work Environment
This role is 100% field-based within active construction site environments on large-scale industrial and mission critical projects. The QA/QC Inspector will have daily interaction with electrical crews, superintendents, and project leadership in a hands-on, collaborative setting. The work is project-based, with assignments aligned to specific job sites and phases of construction. Travel opportunities may be available depending on project locations and needs. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring adherence to site safety protocols and comfort working around active construction activities and electrical installations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stillwater, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
