DESCRIPTION:
Manage warehouse operations and contribute to excellence in serving our customers at Thermo Fisher Scientific as Distribution Manager. You'll oversee all aspects of distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role combines strategic leadership with practical operational management to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and maintain high service levels.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you'll implement continuous improvement initiatives, develop staff, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership will support a culture focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while enhancing operational excellence through metrics-based performance management and process optimization.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in distribution/warehouse management, including personnel supervision
• Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
• Experience with GMP, ISO, or regulated environments preferred
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory control and logistics management
• Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PPI)
• Knowledge of safety regulations, DOT requirements, and HAZMAT handling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience leading and developing teams effectively
• Ability to work in warehouse environments and lift up to 50 lbs
• Available for occasional travel and flexible scheduling as needed
• Strong project management and budget oversight capabilities
• Experience with quality management systems and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated ability to enhance operational metrics and KPIs
