About the Team

The Operations team in Santa Rosa is responsible for delivering production targets while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery. The team works across assembly, machining, and zinc-plating operations and collaborates closely with Quality, Materials, Maintenance, Human Resources, and New Programs. As Group Leader, you will lead production supervisors and indirectly coordinate line leaders and production operators. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and indirectly to the Senior Operations Manager.

What you can look forward to as Group Leader:

- Plan and manage production resources to achieve the established production plan and organizational targets for safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery.

- Lead production supervisors and coordinate line leaders and operators, including workforce planning, team allocation, skills development, certification, attendance, and overtime management.

- Work closely with Quality, Materials, Maintenance, Human Resources, and New Programs to support daily production, product launches, engineering changes, and unplanned downtime.

- Monitor and improve operational KPIs, including OEE, scrap, downtime, overtime, absenteeism, accidents, production output, and customer or internal rejections.

- Lead root-cause analyses, problem-solving activities, and corrective action plans related to quality, safety, production performance, and internal or external audits.

- Drive continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing practices, waste reduction, line balancing, 5S, SMED, and productivity initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with applicable quality, environmental, health, and safety standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

- Support budget management, optimize assigned resources, control operating expenses, and develop proposals that generate measurable cost savings.

Your Profile as Group Leader:

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

- At least three years of experience in manufacturing operations within the automotive industry.

- Proven experience in production planning, personnel management, KPI monitoring, and cross-functional manufacturing coordination.

- Strong knowledge and interpretation of OEE, production planning, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methods.

- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, SMED, line balancing, waste reduction, and the ZF Production System.

- Familiarity with automotive quality, environmental, health, and safety management systems, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to present operational results to management.

- Availability to rotate shifts and provide production coverage on weekends when required.
