POSITION OVERVIEW
The Outside Services (OSP) Staff is responsible for assisting members and guests with vehicle, luggage, and transportation services, maintaining the cleanliness of club-owned vehicles and golf carts, and providing exceptional customer service at all times. The position plays an important role in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for members, guests, and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Issue and collect automobile claim tickets.
- Maintain safe and clean entrances, parking lots, and work areas.
- Direct members and guests to desired locations within the club.
- Wash, fuel, and maintain members, guests, club, livery, and sales vehicles.
- Provide transportation for members and guests to and from the airport.
- Perform minor club repairs as directed.
- Cover employee shuttle driver shifts as needed, including days off and breaks.
- Keep all members golf carts clean and ready for use.
- Provide support at both practice facilities.
- Assist members and guests with special requests.
- Attend staff meetings and required training sessions.
- Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Outside Services Manager or other designated supervisor.
- Leadership – Maintain a professional, positive attitude while promoting company values and representing departmental objectives.
- Teamwork - Foster cooperation and collaboration among coworkers and across departments.
- Safety – Follow all established safe work practices and attend required safety training.
- Other duties as assigned – Flexibility to adapt to operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
- Some high school required; high school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous valet, hospitality, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
- Able to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to stay calm and professional in busy or emergency situations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Valid California drivers license.
- Clean driving record: no moving violations or minor incidents in the past three years, and no major violations (such as DUI) in the past five years.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job requires regular movement and the ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to help individuals with disabilities perform these tasks.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and enter or exit vehicles of varying sizes and heights.
- Must be able to quickly park and retrieve vehicles in the parking area.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.
- Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and potentially toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high or precarious places, extreme cold or heat, electrical hazards, and vibration.
- Work environment noise level is typically moderate to loud.
