About this role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Content Producer to join our Robotaxi Content team based in Austin, TX. This person will be responsible for conceptualizing, capturing, and editing video and photo projects that support the Robotaxi program, maintaining Tesla’s visual standards, and upholding the Tesla brand.
Content will include public-facing videos and photos that tell the story of Robotaxi — product, factory, and industry updates; customer engagement; and creative content that highlights milestones, product launches, the customer journey, and public engagement.
- Develop video and photo concepts that serve business needs and build scripts and storyboards to communicate the concept to stakeholders and collaborators
- Coordinate interdepartmentally within Tesla to plan video and photo shoots
- Identify and scout locations (e.g., manufacturing facilities, Austin-based sites); arrange permits, rentals, and releases when needed
- Capture interview, documentary, product, and lifestyle cinematography and photography across a wide spectrum of settings
- Conduct on-camera interviews and set up audio recording
- Edit footage into final polished videos, including basic color grading and sound mixing
- Complete still-photography post-production, including retouching, selects, and delivery
- 5–7+ years producing, shooting, and editing video and photography, at a production company, agency, or in-house creative department, with proven experience from concept to delivery
- Highly creative, organized, and detailed; able to carry multiple projects in parallel and turn challenges into opportunities
- Fundamental cinematography training: strong sense of cinematic composition, camera movement, lighting, and camera/lens settings (e.g., knowledge of RAW and LOG recording formats, sensor size, ISO, shutter angle, resolution, frame rates)
- Strong still photography: composition, lighting, and post-production (selects and light retouching) through delivery
- Experience across camera setups: vehicle rigging, handheld, gimbal, tripod, slider
- Cinematic drone operation (FAA Part 107)
- Editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or DaVinci Resolve, including basic color grading and sound mixing
