Make a meaningful impact in your community as a Program Coordinator with our Meals on Wheels program, helping ensure Madison, Middleton, and Monona residents receive nutritious mid-day meals. You'll coordinate delivery routes, communicate with volunteers and meal recipients, manage scheduling and data entry, and step in to deliver meals when routes need coverage. This role is a great fit for an independent, tech-savvy critical thinker with strong communication skills who wants to be part of a small team working toward one important mission.

Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm

Job Summary:
Coordinate and support the daily operations of assigned programs.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepares schedules to provide service to program clients.  Coordinates all new referrals from external and internal sources.
- Answers the telephone and responds to general inquiries regarding the program. Provides basic education and guidance to clients.
- Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of program services and initiatives.
- Plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates appropriate patient care.
- Collaborates with others to assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and systems/performance measures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

EXPERIENCE

- One year of experience .

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Proof of motor vehicle liability insurance that meets minimum state requirements upon hire and upon request.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
