Logistics Specialist
The Logistics Specialist supports logistics operations across the factories by ensuring efficient import and export processes, monitoring shipping activities and contributing to logistics cost control. The role requires a structured and detail-oriented approach, with strong execution, tracking, follow-up and communication capabilities.
Position:
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments across both factories to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal teams to prevent delays and reduce demurrage, detention and port storage costs.
- Maintain accurate logistics trackers, dashboards, import and export documentation, customs records and system data.
- Support freight cost analysis, invoice validation, goods received/invoice received (GRIR) reviews and purchase price variance (PPV) checks.
- Identify and communicate shipment risks, delays and exceptions while supporting route and lead-time optimization.
- Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, Production, Regulatory, Quality and Accounting teams and support the Logistics Manager with assigned activities and projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination, preferably within manufacturing or FMCG.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Knowledge of import and export operations, freight coordination, enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP, Excel and logistics reporting.
