About this role

- Act as the central GRC point of contact across Product, Technology, Finance, Legal, AML/CFT, Fraud, Operations and external partners.
- Develop and maintain risk, compliance and governance frameworks, policies, procedures and control standards across FinTech initiatives.
- Lead end-to-end credit-risk governance for lending products, including credit policy, underwriting and decision rules, affordability, exposure and stacking controls, exceptions, collections-risk oversight and portfolio performance management.
- Monitor portfolio quality, approval rates, delinquency, roll rates, NPLs, losses, recoveries, vintage performance and early-warning indicators; recommend and drive corrective actions.
- Establish risk appetite, credit limits, escalation triggers, exception governance and management reporting for lending products.
- Work with Product and Technology teams to embed credit-risk, fraud, compliance, consent and regulatory controls into customer and merchant journeys.
- Lead compliance-risk assessments for new products, partnerships, customer journeys, marketing communications and operating processes.
- Establish fraud-control, transaction-monitoring, incident-management and escalation requirements in coordination with relevant shared-service teams.
- Coordinate regulatory readiness, licensing submissions, policy packs, regulatory reporting, audit trails, inspections and supervisory responses.
- Define governance forums, approval authorities, risk reporting and committee packs for senior management.
- Maintain risk registers, control gaps, policy exceptions, incidents, audit findings and remediation plans; drive closure with accountable owners.
- Build practical procedures and awareness sessions for Product, Operations, Customer Care and relevant business teams.
- Perform any additional project, task or activities assigned/delegated by the Line Manager.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, Economics or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA, Master's in Risk or Finance) is an advantage but not essential
- CAMS, FRM, CRCM or equivalent risk/compliance certification (Good to have)
- 8–12 years’ experience in credit risk, lending risk, risk governance or regulatory roles within FinTech, banking, consumer finance, payments or another regulated financial-services business.
- Strong hands-on experience in digital credit or lending risk, including underwriting, affordability, exposure management, portfolio monitoring, delinquency management, collections oversight and loss-performance analysis.
- Strong experience in regulatory compliance, risk frameworks, policy development, control design, risk registers and management reporting.
- Working knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions, e-KYC, fraud-risk management, transaction monitoring and consumer-protection requirements.
- Experience supporting licensing applications, regulatory submissions, inspections, audits or supervisory engagement.
