Wealth Management – Client Segments Organization Overview

Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management business is one of the largest in the world with more than $6 trillion in client assets. The Client Segments (CS) Organization, within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MS WM), is comprised of various client channels, providing services to both individual and institutional Clients. Some of the services include Financial Management, Equity Stock Plans, Retirement Plans, Financial Wellness, Marketing, and Reinvestment. The teams focus on delivering timely, customized solutions and services that help Clients meet their financial, life, and organizational goals.

Position Summary:

This position provides support to various supervisory processes across Client Segments.  This includes, but is not limited to Business Control Unit functions, Risk Officer support activities, and preparation and reporting for various Governance forums. This team is actively growing and taking on more responsibilities, so we are looking for an individual who can handle change and growth in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Include:

- Analysis of a suite of controls that cover various areas of Risk
- Reviewing data quality issues/violations of firm’s compliance policies
- Identifying possible patterns and trends during the review process
- Reporting of daily activities conducted within the team
- Participate in meetings with local and US supervisory teams as needed
- Providing coverage to US Risk teams

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Problem solving skills and Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Exchange (SEC), FINRA and Investment Compliance Policies is an added advantage
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements within existing processes to support optimization efforts
- Understanding of financial products, trading rules and regulatory landscape
- Efficient in MS office suite, advanced excel is an added advantage
- Strong interest in deepening business knowledge of financial industry and wealth management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to concisely summarize and/or present complex ideas.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet strict SLAs

Experience:

- 0.6 to 2.5 years of industry experience

- Risk or compliance experience a plus

Education:

- Bachelor’s/MBA degree or equivalent work experience
