Praedoc (Diss) (f/m/x) in the Advanced Quantum Simulation with Cavity QED Project Group
Your Tasks
- Theoretical research in many-body open quantum systems in collaboration with the PI and other team members
- Writing high impact scientific journal articles based on research findings
- Attendance of conferences and workshops
Your Profile
- M.Sc. in physics or related fields
- Strong background in quantum mechanics, quantum optics, cavity QED and open quantum systems, atomic and molecular physics, condensed-matter physics, and/or many-body analytical and numerical techniques
- Ability to think, plan, and conduct research independently, as well as to work and cooperate with other Group members and external collaborators
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written)
- Strong social skills

The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 53.140,92 (full-time based), in accordance with the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW). For part-time employment, the salary will be adjusted on a pro rata basis in line with the agreed working hours.
